Units and Lessons that embrace and reflect Global Education and Abolitionist Teaching
On this page, you will find examples of my own teaching written in full unit and lesson plans with annotations to help you see the ways I incorporate global thinking philosophies and anti-racist teaching into my curriculum. I have split the page into two sections to reflect these pedagogies, though admittedly, it's difficult to fully separate since my ultimate goal is that all lessons seamlessly embody both. In the Global Education section, I will break down lessons into the 4 skill matrices and discuss the use of digital technology to support learning. I will also include my Globalized Unit Plan developed throughout the Fulbright Course and a clear example of a Project Based Learning Experience. In the Abolitionist Teaching section, I will provide units and lessons that challenge white supremacist tropes with examples of how I continue to think and reflect on my own teaching, challenging my own assumptions and biases. I will also include Global Standards to help you align with state standards.
